When a student scores 90 percent or more in exams, a very strange thing happens at home. Suddenly, everyone starts giving advice.

Relatives say, “Choose Science.”
Friends say, “Go for Commerce.”
Social media says, “Pick whatever the latest trend is.”

The student has enough marks to get into almost anything, but behind closed doors, they may have very little clarity about what they actually want to do.

Good marks show that a student works hard and learns well. But marks alone do not tell us what a child will actually enjoy doing for the next 20 years.

Choosing a stream or degree simply because the marks allow it can be one of the quickest ways to end up in the wrong place.

Instead of looking only at the mark sheet, parents need to look at **who their child actually is**.
Look at their personality.
Look at their strengths.
Look at their interests.
Look at the kind of work environment in which they feel confident.

Marks can open doors, but they cannot tell a student which door is right for them. High marks give your child options. True career guidance helps them explore those options and identify a direction that fits them.

For parents, the important question is therefore not only: What can my child get admission into with these marks?”
It is also: What is the right direction for my child?

Parents, if your child struggling to choose between streams or degrees right now?Career guidance can help bring greater clarity to an important decision and help students look beyond marks when thinking about their future.
