Enabling Special Needs Children to seamlessly transfer into Mainstream Schools

The School Readiness Program follows the main objective of Aadhaar, which is to work inclusively and holistically for everyone. This program is to enable children with mild developmental disabilities to attend regular schools.

Objectives

  • The primary objective of the School Readiness Program is to offer the best education for special needs children, where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in mainstream schools.
  • We are committed to fulfilling Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) in the program.

What makes our program transformative?

  • Focus on Comprehensive Assessment & Therapy for children with Special Needs, so that they can develop the necessary skills.
  • We aim to build an Inclusive Society where children with special needs are not left out or excluded from the community. It becomes a major challenge as for decades children with special needs have been alienated, but now it’s high time for their acceptance.
  • Specialized RCI-Certified Professionals carry out the therapy, which enables the children to get the right treatment. They are continuously monitored and assessed with a treatment plan that is adjusted ad altered based on their progress.
  • Parental Inclusion is prioritized with monthly meetings as parents become active participants in their child’s life. These meetings are held to update the parents about the progress and discuss the further plan.
  • A Long-term Journey is followed because even after the children graduate from the program, we offer them constant support as and when needed while assessing them regularly.

Methodology

  • Firstly, Consultation & Initial assessment is conducted by a Developmental Paediatrician.
  • Customized testing by Experienced RCI-certified professionals.
  • Reporting with Parental Counselling.
  • Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) is designed for every child based on their needs by the Developmental Pediatrician, who assesses them and monitors their progress.
  • Based on IEP, therapy is given by a Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist & Special Educator.
  • Follow-ups & regular assessments are provided even after mainstreaming.

After the program is effectively completed, the child graduates and is prepared to attend regular schools.

Conclusion

The School Readiness Program aims to create a holistic and inclusive society, where children with special needs can be part of mainstream education without facing any challenges. The special needs children get the necessary assistance and support they deserve, while the program saves them from social alienation and assists them in keeping up with high competence in society. We intend to fulfill their unique needs and bring a positive change in the ecosystem. The program brings inclusivity and acceptance of children with special needs.

“ With Mann's diagnosis with mild Autism in 2019 and losing hope, we came across Aadhar Center. "Hybrid Therapy" then became our best decision as Mann progressed significantly through her month-long offline sessions. Pursuing these sessions online, we now believe Aadhar to be the best place for your child. ”

“ When the COVID-19 pandemic hit us, Obaida's physiotherapy started online, but when some restrictions were lifted, Dr Jagmeet Kaur Chawala informed us of the offline mode. We as parents were worried about our child's safety. But we were content to see the safety measures taken by Aadhaar Centre. I would like to them for the Hybrid Therapy. ”
