A graduate from Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Sunil Shukla is an independent filmmaker based in Bhopal. Started his professional career assisting Mr. Shyam Benegal in ‘Bharat Ek Khoj.’ After the first brush with the large canvas of Indian culture and civilization in ‘Discovery of India,’ a deep yearning to understand the myriad strands of Indian culture took deep roots inside. His strong social and political consciousness, considerable artistic distinction and filmic versatility have earned him a unique and distinguished position among other independent filmmakers in central India, and he plans on continuing to explore cultures and document people's views and opinions from different perspectives.
