MY INSPIRATION
"Thinking should be good because treatment of eyesight is possible but not the vision".
There are a lot of events and experiences happening continuously in our lives. From birth till the end we have many kinds of experiences which inspire us. Ever since I understood,I saw my mother who is a retired teacher now, that if I want to become something, then I would become a teacher like my mother.
Today I can proudly say that my mother is my first inspiration.Whatever I had to study to become a teacher I did, I taught normal kids also but there was something missing . God was giving me hint about something I was missing. So when I was teaching in a normal school, two or three students were something different from other students. I taught them but they didn't learn much. One student had no clear speech, the other was sitting only but neither writing nor talking and the another one student was just sitting silently, when I came near him, he got scared, I motivated him but I didn't get any response from him but with time he felt comfortable in my class.
Then time turned and I got an opportunity to understand and learn about differently abled children. A person also contributed in making me choose the path of becoming a special educator and her name is Mrs. Pramodini Jain. She is also a special educator and motivated me to become the same. And today, when I work with these kids, I feel the true happiness, selfless love and satisfaction which can't be expressed.
Whenever I used to see a differently-abled person, I definitely used to get emotional and also used to feel sad, but didn't have any idea how to help them. I always wondered how will they manage to live in this society or how could I help them. But today, after becoming a special educator, not completely but atleast I contribute to make a progress in the society by teaching these unique and differently- abled children. And I am proud to say that they are also a source of my inspiration.
